Dual Degree

Current FAST TRACK EXECUTIVE MBA STUDENTS have the option to pursue a dual degree, and earn their Master of Science in Information Systems degree in just 9 MONTHS! FTEMBA graduates can have the first three courses in the program waived, and tuition is reduced accordingly. Tuition is $20,000, including the international trip.

In order to take advantage of this option, FTEMBA students must enroll in the FTEMS program prior to their FTEMBA graduation.

FTEMBA graduates join the program in August (download the FTEMBA calendar, PDF), although you will be a part of the class from the beginning. Students will receive the detailed schedule for each course and will have the option to attend any of the sessions they wish for courses that are waived.

STREAMLINED APPLICATION PROCESS

FTEMBA students wishing to pursue the dual MBA/MS degree will need to submit a completed Application for Graduate School (single application form only) with the Proposed Curriculum as Fast Track Executive MS in IS program with dual MS/MBA listed as the degree (top), and your EMBA program listed under Education (bottom), as well as a new Application for Virginia In-state Tuition. Students should email that application to FTEMSIS@ISY1.ISY.VCU.EDU, or send to the Information Systems Department at 1015 Floyd Avenue, ATTN: Fast Track Executive MS. We will gather all the other necessary information from your EMBA application and submit it to the Graduate Studies office. The $50 application fee is waived as well.
